Day one: Checking the trail alignment while the snow comes down.
As we tried to get the truck and trailer up the road the truck lost traction and slid backwards on the ice. The trailer jackknifed and hit a rock. A few days later all that ice would be melted.
Starting to build the new trail
This should be the hardest section to build with all those rocks so we decided to tackle this section first.
Someone left us a nice note written in the dirt on the back of the excavator!
It rained on us several of the days we were working on the trail in November. Luckily it is all decomposed granite (DG) and the soil never really got muddy.
